Are you a German native speaker with excellent written and spoken English? Are you a problem solver with analytical skills and a drive to take initiative? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you as a Customer Service Assistant!
In this role, you will coordinate information and order flow between German customers and plant operations, monitoring scheduling and production plans. You will understand technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end-user expectations, as well as packaging requirements, logistics, and transportation options.
Your key tasks will include analyzing the production plan and monitoring delivery schedules to meet customer requirements and minimize manufacturing variation, WIP, and Finish Goods, avoiding any obsolete parts (phase in – phase out). You will receive scheduling programs from customers and enter their requests into the system (SAP), responding to requests to meet customer satisfaction requirements while reacting to delivery schedule changes. You will evaluate estimates provided by Customer Sales Managers and interpret future requests together with customers, negotiating delivery with both internal and external customers to optimize both plant and customer requirements.
You will manage packaging and transportation requirements to meet customer delivery requirements, arranging any special transport that is required and issuing the necessary documentation to the shipping department of the involved plant. You will also support the analysis of reasons for past due payments to optimize plant cash flow and meet with customers to improve communication and obtain relevant information.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Economics or Languages and 2-3 years of experience in customer service with knowledge of SAP. You should be able to work with others and with minimal supervision with different cultures, with a systematic approach to daily work to prevent continuous troubleshooting. You should also have a problem-solving attitude to address non-standard requests.
